(B) Same sample as in (A) but after the oxygen plasma treatment, resulting in naked Au particles on the glass substrate. The height profiles of the horizontal lines indicated in the images demonstrate the unchanged lateral periodicity of 90 nm after the plasma process and reduction of height to 8 nm, the height of the naked Au particles.
