From: DNA-encapsulated silver nanodots as ratiometric luminescent probes for hypochlorite detection
Emission and emission ratios of C24-Ag silver nanodots in the presence of 100 μM of sodium hypochlorite. Emission was examined after the addition of an oxidant to the nanodot solutions. The higher the concentration, the stronger the emissions at (a) 485 nm and (b) 625 nm. However, (c) the I485/I625 ratios at varied concentrations showed much less fluctuation at a given concentration of the oxidizing agent.
