Production of ECM molecules by fibroblasts decreased on exposure to AgNPs. The human fibroblast cell line treated with AgNPs at concentrations of 0.1, 1, or 10 μg/mL for 24 h was analysed using indirect immunofluorescence to detect laminin and collagen-1 production. Photomicrographs in (a) show laminin (green; upper panels) and collagen-1 (green; lower panels) production in NP-treated cells. Magnification, 200×.
