Determination of cytotoxicity to monoculture and co-culture cells using the LDH assay. UM-SCC-17A (a) and THP-1 cells (b), and co-cultured cells (c) were treated with PLGA particles. No significant cell death was observed after 24 h incubation of particles (with different sizes and concentrations used here) and cells in both monoculture and co-culture systems
