Schematic diagram of a laser ablation system used to synthesize CNTs. In this technique, CNTs are produced in a quartz tube furnace with the help of a laser beam that vaporizes a graphite target leading to self-assembly of CNTs on the surface of the reactor. Based on the type of electrodes (pure graphite or graphite doped with Co, Fe or Ni), the formed CNTs can be single or multi-walled. Adapted from [84]
